Hi guys, hope your week has been great. So I’m here with a double whopper for this week. I decided to go double, because I wanted to give you variety. 🙂
I love chinese take outs. Its what I love to order when I’m not cooking.
So I decided to recreate two of my favourite meals, just for you guys. Its fresh,tasty and pocket friendly ;).
Today I’m going to teach you how to make chicken chow mein.
Here are the instructions and cooking time.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
1 bag of Rice noodles
4 tablespoon Light soy sauce
4 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
4 tablespoon Oyster sauce
4 tablespoon Toasted sesame oil
2 large Chicken breasts
1 small Red pepper
1 small Green pepper
Half a bag of Bean shoots
1 tablespoon of Corn flour
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Cut your chicken into stripes and dice. Season it one tablespoon each of dark and light soy sauce, oyster sauce and finally add the corn flour. Mix it well and let it sit for a while.
Heat up the oil and fry the chicken until firm. Remove from the heat. To the oil left in the wok, add your bean sprouts, peppers, the remaining tablespoons of soy sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil. Fry for a few minutes.
Add the fried chicken, and mix well. Finally add the noodles. Stir well to make sure its all incorporated. Let it cook for about 5 minutes. And yes!!!
