Summer Drinks: watermelon Juice

Hi guys, hope you are doing good? Summer is here!!!! Whoop Whoop! For me that means lots and lots of summer drinks, freshly made from yours truly’s kitchen. 😊

Today I made some nice watermelon juice. It was soooo delicious! I didn’t need to add sugar or even honey to it. It’s natural sugar can still be tasted same way as if you are eating the fruit. I also did not need to add water! I just cut it up in small chunks, covered the lid and blended it. Watermelon has it own water content, so it makes it easy to blend.

INGREDIENTS:
Watermelon
Ice cubes

UTENSILS:
Glass cup
Straw
Blender
Sieve
Chopping board

Lets begin.

Wash the outer part of the watermelon, place the watermelon on the chopping board. You can either cut it from the top straight down or in the middle. Peel the outer skin and remove the seeds.

This part might seem like a chore, but the last thing you want is granules or stone like contents in your juice.

Once deseeded, cut the watermelon into semi small chunks, add it to the blender and blend until smooth. Once blended, pour the contents through a sieve, this will help you get rid of the foam residue.

Add a few ice cubes to a jug, and pour the sieved juice. Stir and it’s ready to serve.

Enjoy this delicious and guilt free juice on a hot summer day and feel refreshed. 🍹

That’s it from me,

Love Duchess O
