Hi guys. How are you all doing? Today’s recipe is a quick one. I have already made this stew before, but tgat had a lot more oil in it.
I decided to make a healthier version that is still as tasty as the original version.
Lets begin shall we 🙂
7 Habenero peppers (you can use less if your heat threshold is low)
1 can of plum tomatoes or 5 regular tomatoes
1 medium can of tomato puree
2 Knorr cubes
1/4 cup of Palm oil
1 large Onions
1 medium sized pot
Prep time : 5 minutes
Cooking time : 55 minutes
Total time : 1hour
First of all wash the peppers and tomatoes (if using fresh tomatoes). Blend roughly in the blender (see picture )
Next slice the onions and set aside
Put your pot on fire, let it get hot. (This will help the palm oil get hot quickly without bleaching)
Next Add the palm oil and let it get hot. For about 5 minutes.
Next add the onions and fry until almost dark (black) That’s where the taste is from
Next add the pepper and 1 tablespoon of tomato puree. Cook/fry on low heat for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of tomato puree. And cook for 15 minutes.
Next add the knorr cubes and the last of the tomato puree stir well and cook on a lower heat for 20minutes.
Your sauce is ready!
Let it cool down for 5 minutes after cooking. (This is to allow the little oil settle and also enhance the taste.
