Moroccan chicken wings with Tzatziki dip

Hi guys. How are you all doing? Today I’m making something new. I am really excited to bring this new recipe to you all.

I like spicy food, but everyone’s definition of spicy differs. But nor to worry, you can always adjust the heat threshold to your preference.

Ok, lets begin shall we 🙂

INGREDIENTS
Chicken wings
Paprika
Cayenne pepper
Cumin
Cinnamon
Dried chilli flakes
Moroccan spice

Dip
Mint
Cucumber
Lemon
Fat free greek yoghurt
Salt
Garlic powder
Black pepper (optional)

UTENSILS :
Pastry brush
Wooden spoon
2 Medium sized bowls
Baking tray
Whisk

Prep time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 45 minutes

Method :

Preheat the oven by 180 degress.

Next remove any stay hair frim the chicken and wash thoroughly.

Next combine all the spices except the mint.  Mix well until all the ingredients have been well combined.

Next rub the salt on the chicken. I like to do this before adding the spices as I want the chicken to be well seasoned.

Next add the seasoning to the chicken by dusting it generously over the chicken.

Turn both sides and rub. Leave some of the mixture in the bowl for final dusting.

Put the wings in the oven and bake uninterrupted for 20 minutes.

The dip

Next pour the Greek yoghurt in a bowl, add the juice of one lemon and chopped mint.   Whisk until all incorporated.

Cut the cucumber into small size and blend until smooth. (Do not add water)

Add the blended cucumber to the yoghurt mixture. And whisk very well.

Finally add the black pepper

Spoon the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate.

Check on the chicken. After 20 minutes, turn the chicken over and sprinkle more of the seasoning on it.

Bake for another 20 minutes.

Turn the wings again and sprinkle with the last bit of seasoning.

Change the oven dial to grill, increase it to 200 degree’s and grill for 4 minutes.

Remove from the grill and let it cool down for 2 minutes.

Remove the wings from the baking tray and place it in a kitchen towel so that it can absorb any access oil.

Bring out the dip that has been cooling in the fridge.

Serve your chicken wings with the dip.
