Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing good? I have an exciting recipe to share with you. It’s one of those ones that I have developed and also tested.
Scotch egg is a snack that is generally enjoyed by people in various ways. I decided to remake it using a different twist to it. The general way is commonly known by everyone, so I decided to upgrade our taste buds to enjoy this one time favourite snacks in a different way.
You won’t be dissapointed.
Ok let’s get started shall we
- 4 boiled egg
- 4 sausages
- White pepper
- Habanero pepper
- Suya spice
- Vegetable oil
- 1 raw egg for rolling
- Chopping board
- Food processor
- kitchen tongs
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Boil the egg for about 15 minutes
blend the oats into fine crumbs.
in a frying pan, heat up the oil,
pour the sausage meat into the food, add the fired onion etc and now add the suya spice.
Once cooled, peel the eggs shells.
break the egg into a bowl and whisk,
pour the flour into a large bowl
also pour the oats crumbs into a bowl.
wash your hands thoroughly. then
take the sausage meat, just enough to cover one egg. place it in your palm, and mould until the meat covers the egg completely
Roll it on the flour.
Finally roll it in the oats crumbs.
Heat up the oil for frying. then after that do a hot test. pour the oats crumbs into the oil, if it fizzles and sizzles, then it is hot enough.
use the kitchen thongs to pick up the eggs, drop it into the oil and fry on each side until golden brown.
Drain the fried scotch eggs on a kitchen paper. (this will enable you get rid of excess oil)
now its time to enjoy this amazing snacks.
serve with a nice cold drink
